REPRESENTATIVES OF UKRAINE’S AGRICULTURAL SECTOR PARTICIPATED IN A SEMINAR WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE AGROPATH PROJECT

On 28 May 2026, a seminar was held within the framework of the AGROPATH – Advanced Geomatics and Remote Observation for Precision Agriculture in Higher Education project, bringing together representatives of the agricultural holding ACRIS AGRO, as well as students and academic staff.

The event provided a platform for exchanging experience between academia and the agricultural business sector and for discussing modern approaches to the digitalisation of agriculture and the development of precision farming.

During the seminar, participants learned about the specific features of modern agricultural business, approaches to land bank management, and the practical application of digital technologies in agricultural production. Particular attention was paid to the use of geoinformation technologies and digital solutions to support management and production processes in the agricultural sector.

Representatives of ACRIS AGRO also presented opportunities for the professional development of young specialists, internships, and career opportunities in the agricultural sector. Participants were introduced to the company’s training menu, a learning and development programme designed for professionals and young specialists.

The speakers at the event included Pavlo Markov, Head of the Training Centre; Ostap Yurkivskyi, Project Manager at the Land Bank Development Department; Vladyslav Hoholchuk, Head of Recruitment and Onboarding; and Halyna Latuta, Head of Human Resources.

The meeting was held in an open and interactive format, allowing participants to discuss current issues related to the development of the agricultural sector. The exchange between academia and industry representatives helped to better identify the practical needs of modern agribusiness and the competencies required by future professionals.

As a result of the seminar, the participants agreed to continue their cooperation and organise further meetings. Such interaction contributes to strengthening the practical component of agricultural education and fostering closer links between higher education institutions and the agricultural sector in line with the objectives of the AGROPATH project.
