The Creation and Modernization of Innovative Geomatic Modules for Precision Agriculture Curricula (WP2) work package focuses on the design, modernization, and harmonization of higher education curricula in precision agriculture, advanced geomatics, and remote observation technologies. It aims to align educational programmes in Ukraine and Moldova with European standards and labour market needs by integrating innovative digital technologies, interdisciplinary approaches, and competence-based learning outcomes.
WP2 includes a comprehensive analysis of existing curricula, identification of competency gaps, and development of updated Bachelor’s, Master’s, and lifelong learning courses. The work package supports the integration of advanced technologies, including GNSS, GIS, UAVs, remote sensing, photogrammetry, and geospatial data analytics, into teaching and learning processes. Educational materials, laboratory exercises, practical assignments, digital learning resources, and multilingual teaching content will be developed to ensure high-quality, accessible, and practice-oriented education.
The work package also promotes close collaboration between higher education institutions, industry stakeholders, and European partner universities to ensure that the redesigned curricula reflect current technological developments and the evolving requirements of the agricultural sector. Academic staff will collaborate in the preparation of modern teaching materials and innovative pedagogical approaches that strengthen students’ digital, analytical, and professional competences.
As a result, WP2 will deliver modernized and internationally compatible educational programmes, innovative teaching resources, updated course syllabi, and competency-based learning materials that enhance the quality of higher education in precision agriculture and advanced geomatics. These outputs will provide students and professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to support the digital transformation and sustainable development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine and Moldova.
