The Human Resource Development: Education &Training (WP4) work package focuses on the delivery of the modernized educational programmes and the development of human capacity required for the digital transformation of agriculture. It aims to ensure the effective implementation of the curricula developed within the project through academic staff training, student education, professional retraining, and lifelong learning initiatives targeting diverse stakeholder groups.
WP4 includes the organization and delivery of pilot teaching activities, training courses, workshops, and professional development programmes for academic staff, students, agricultural professionals, rural communities, and displaced individuals. The work package supports the introduction of innovative teaching methodologies, practical laboratory training, digital learning environments, and blended learning approaches that facilitate the acquisition of advanced competencies in geomatics, GIS, GNSS, remote sensing, UAV technologies, and precision agriculture.
A key component of WP4 is the establishment of an open-access learning environment providing multilingual educational resources, digital teaching materials, online courses, and self-learning opportunities. This approach ensures broad accessibility, promotes lifelong learning, and supports the sustainability of project outcomes beyond the project lifetime.
As a result, WP4 will deliver successfully implemented modernized curricula, trained academic staff, enhanced digital competencies among students and professionals, and an operational open educational platform supporting continuous learning. These outcomes will strengthen institutional capacity, improve workforce qualifications, and facilitate the adoption of advanced digital technologies in the agricultural sector of Ukraine and Moldova, contributing to sustainable socio-economic development and long-term resilience.
